About Adopt-a-tude

Real Lives, Real Stories, Real Debate About Adoption

Adopt-a-tude launched in 2009 with adoptive parents and adoptees as contributing writers. We've also run guest posts by birth parents and foster parents.

Adopt-a-tude celebrates adoption and foster parenting without the usual romantic stereotypes. Our goal is to provide a discussion forum for adoption that includes everyone in the triad. Many of our posts are personal essays or in an op-ed format. We try not to shy away from difficult conversations about race, the ethics of international adoption, attachment disorder, and many other issues, large and small.
